Business Development Lead

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to join our growing team and to help us expand our clientele. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.


Responsibilities:

  • Build a market position by locating, developing, defining and closing business relationships
  • Identifies trends and ideas by researching the industry, related events, publications and announcements. Become a team expert in a focus area.
  • Locate and propose potential business opportunities by cultivating relationships
  • Take a lead role in developing proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities
  • Estimate partner needs and goals
  • Enhance August’s reputation and serves as a positive representation in the market
  • Adapt to changing focus/business needs and expertly present to any industry
  • Assist in marketing strategies

Criteria

  • 3 - 4 years' prior industry-related business development experience
  • Ability to close a deal
  • Motivated by sales cycle
  • Acute prospecting skills and assessment of opportunities
  • Professional demeanor and positive representation of August in market
  • Real Estate knowledge and experience a plus
  • Agency side experience a plus
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to create compelling presentations
